Former FBI Director James Comey addresses reporters after he delivered testimony at a closed-door meeting with the House Judiciary Committee on Friday. A transcript of this interview will be released in the next 24 hours.
"I have total confidence that the FISA process was followed and that the entire case was handled in a thoughtful, responsible way by DOJ and the FBI," Comey said. "I think the notion that FISA was abused here is nonsense."
Comey told reporters he'd agreed to come back to speak with Congress in a couple weeks.
"As a private citizen, as someone who knows the justice system, I see it proceeding incredibly quickly and very, very professionally. The most important indication of that is you don't know anything about it except when he files something in court and that's how it should be," Comey said of the Mueller investigation.
