Sen. Cantwell Questions Zuckerberg About Palantir, Total Information Awareness

Sen. Maria Cantwell asked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg about Cambridge Analytica and Palantir, an NSA-affiliated company which aggregates big data. Zuckerberg says he's "not that familiar with what Palantir does." Palantir was co-founded by Peter Thiel, who serves on the board of Facebook.

The New York Times reported last month that Cambridge Analytica worked with at least one employee of Palantir Technologies, a military and intelligence contractor.

SEN. CANTWELL: Do you think Palantir has ever scraped data from Facebook?

MARK ZUCKERBERG: Senator, I'm not aware of that.
