RealClear Opinion Research recently conducted a poll about Biden's first 100 days in office. One of the questions asked was about reopening bars, restaurants and other parts of the service economy.
The timeline below shows total daily mentions of "reopening" across television news since the start of last year showing the first major wave was weeks after lockdowns began, followed by a second wave in the summer. There has been renewed coverage of the topic since Biden's inauguration.
Looking at bars, restaurants and mentions of the "service economy" specifically, we can see a huge surge on Fox News as vaccines were approved in November, but far less attention on CNN and MSNBC at the time.
