Manchin told reporters as he was leaving the Capitol: "We have to de-weaponize. We can't be playing politics... The frustration was built, but that was not a way to take it out. I would have done it differently... You can fight about a lot of things, but not about [the debt ceiling]. This is the most serious thing we do. And we're not going to do it anymore... We will not default and we will not go through this again."
