Ari Fleischer on Facebook banning any video of former President Donald Trump saying anything following his first in-camera interview following his exit from office. In an interview FNC host Sean Hannity on Wednesday, Fleischer called it "anti-democratic, anti-intellectual, and anti-history" to censor the former president.
"How distressing is what Facebook said and what they did," Fleischer said. "Are you telling me that if somebody wants to string together a series of Facebook posts with Donald Trump's speeches, taken right out of history, Facebook will suppress it? You're not allowed to have the audio and the video of Donald Trump saying we have the lowest Hispanic unemployment level in history? The lowest black unemployment black unemployment level in history? You can't put that on because it is his voice? Let alone a live interview."
"This censorship is part of one of the Balkanization of America," Fleischer said. "It's one of the reasons we are splitting as a society. Are conservatives supposed to start all of their own conservative media and ban Biden and Obama's voice? Is that the America Facebook wants? This is going every possible wrong direction. It's anti-democratic, anti-intellectual, and anti-history."
