Biden: Significant Percentage Of K-8 Will Be Open Before End Of First 100 Days, High School Will Be "Difficult"

President Joe Biden said Tuesday on CNN his administration's goal is to have K-8 students back in school by the end of his first 100 days in office. At a town hall event hosted by CNN's Anderson Cooper, Biden said the goal is to have students in K-8 in school 5 days a week, however, he could not promise the same for high schoolers, calling it "difficult."

"I think we'll be close to that at the end of the first 100 days," Biden said.

"We have had a significant percentage of them being able to be opened," he said of schools. "The goal will be five days a week."

"It's much easier to send kids K through 8 back because they are less likely to communicate the disease to somebody else," Biden said.
