Attkisson: AOC Would Be Accused Of Incitement, Be Deplatformed If She Were A Republican

Investigative journalist and "Full Measure" host Sharyl Attkisson said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) would be accused of incitement and have her social media accounts shut down if she were a Republican in an "Eat The Press" interview with Steve Malzberg.

"We know now, based on experience, that if anyone on the other side made the exact same claims they would have been called 'unverified' and attacked and the people would have been vilified and told that they were lying and accounts would have been pulled down from social media," Attkisson said of AOC's claim that she was in danger during the Capitol Riot. "So, as you point out, a very, very different treatment by the media, social media, and everyone concerned."

"If the tables were turned, I think the other side would be arguing that those comments made that were true or not, I don't know, but could themselves incite violence because you're hearing a member of Congress say how she was attacked and treated and what the police were doing to her, how the cops were looking at her," Attkisson said.

"So, again, were the other side making the same remarks I think it would be a whole different story," she added.
