Steve Doocy vs. Brian Kilmeade: Was Capitol Hill Riot Worse Than Portland Riots?

|

Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, two of the hosts of President Trump's favorite morning show "FOX & Friends," disagreed Wednesday morning about some Republicans drawing equivalencies between the pro-Trump riot last week on Capitol Hill and the year-long wave of unrest from left-wing and anarchist groups in cities like Portland and Seattle.

"Brian, you're talking about people who work in the Congress," Doocy told Kilmeade. "The Congress was under attack last week. It was looted. There was a riot."

Kilmeade replied: "So was Portland every day, and nobody cared on the left! Those people have lives, too. Just because they don't have medallions to go through metal detectors every day. All the statehouses and the police houses that were ransacked and nobody cared."

"Brian, Brian," Steve said. "I don't think what they were doing in Portland was trying to overthrow the democracy."

"Well they would if they could," Kilmeade said.
