Obama: Republicans Have Turned White Males Into Victims, "Doesn't Jibe With Both History and Data"

Former President Barack Obama commented on the 32% of Hispanics that voted for President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, an increase from 28% four years ago. In an interview with "The Breakfast Club" on Wednesday, Obama said evangelical Hispanics don't care that Trump says "racist things" because they find gay marriage and abortion more important.

"People were surprised about a lot of Hispanic folks who voted for Trump," Obama said. "But there are a lot of evangelical Hispanics who, you know, the fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans, or puts detainees, undocumented workers in cages, they think that's less important than the fact that he supports their views on gay marriage or abortion."

Obama told the hosts, Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, that the Republican party has trained white men to believe they are victims.

"You've seen created, in Republican politics, this sense that white males are victims," Obama said. "They're the ones who are like under attack. Which obviously doesn't jibe with both history and data and economics."
