Biden said Thursday during an interview with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell that he is "very concerned" about the role organized white supremacist groups could be playing in unrest around the nation.
"You saw, what got me involved in the race (I hadn't planned on running in the first place) is what happened to Charlottesville. These guys don't use a dog whistle, they use a bullhorn. they use a bullhorn. There's a 17-year-old young man and I don't anything about him, but all I know is there's some reporting about a militia connected to him in Illinois. This is not who America is, this is not who we are," Biden warned. "he thing that bothers me the most is the idea of just pouring gasoline on the racial flames that are burning now. That does not justify any of the looting, any of the burning, any of the damage being done by protesters. But the people have a right to be angry."
