House Democrats: White House Briefing On Russia Bounties Inadequate, Need "Intelligence Perspective"

|

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and other key Democrats went to the White House today for a briefing on the allegation that Russia is rewarding bounties to Afghani militants who kill occupying soldiers. They discussed what the White House told them and said they need more information.

Joining Hoyer at the briefing are Chairman Engel, Chairman Schiff, Chairman Smith, Rep. Meeks, Rep. Sherman, Rep. Keating, Rep. Gallego, Rep. Spanberger, and Rep. Slotkin.

"I thought this briefing was the White House personnel telling us their perspective," said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. "I think we knew the White House perspective. What we need to know is the intelligence perspective."
