Eric Holder: Trump Using DOJ To Go After Political Enemies With "Baseless Obamagate" Accusations

|

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said President Trump has a plan to "weaken" law enforcement institutions with current Attorney General Bill Barr. In an interview with MSNBC's Chris Hayes on Tuesday, Holder said Trump will "delegitimize" parts of government that he believes pose a great threat to them.

"I think that what we have here, at least to date, has been a really good effort on the part of — by the attorney general to defend, to shield, as you said, various interests, chief interests for him being the president," Holder said on MSNBC.

"My concern is that we move from the defensive to the offensive, that they will use the power of the Justice Department, the power of the criminal justice system, to go after people who are perceived as enemies of this president," Holder said.
