Republican House Judiciary members update the press on where they stand after a long day and night of ironing out the details of impeachment articles against Trump.
"This is a sad day for the country. It is going nowhere in the Senate," Rep. Louie Gohmert said.
"You should hold the Democrats to the standard that they set for themselves," Rep. Matt Gaetz said to the media. "The standard they set for themselves just a few months ago: DEmocrats said the evidence would have to be 'overwhelming,' and yet in hearing after hearing the evidence they presented was either hearsay, speculation and conjecture, or the result of a policy disagreement about how to treat the Ukraine."
"And so now, with no bipartisanship... no direct evidence, no enhanced public support for impeachment, Democrats will continue to visit the opportunity costs of this on our country," Gaetz said.
