Hillary Clinton: Margaret Thatcher Is Not In My "Gutsy Women" Book Because She Didn't Make A "Positive Difference"

|

Hillary Clinton explains why she doesn't consider former U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher a "gutsy woman" in an interview with BBC Radio 5 on Tuesday.

EMMA BARNETT, BBC RADIO: Did you think to include [Margaret Thatcher] because surely she comes to mind with gutsy women, even if you didn't like her.

FMR. SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON: Well, she does. But she doesn't fit the other part of the definition, in our opinion, which really is knocking down barriers for others and trying to make a positive difference. I think the record is mixed with her.
