In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, Hillary Clinton said "many, many, many people" are pressuring her to jump in the 2020 presidential race and thinks about it "all the time." Clinton told host Emma Barnett on Tuesday that she is under "enormous pressure" but said it is not in her plans. Clinton, however, said "never say never."
"Are you going to run again?" Barnett asked.
"No," Clinton said.
"That is 100%. So in a few days, I'm not going to open my newspaper," Barnett joked.
"Well, you know, I never say never to anything," Clinton said. "I think all the time of what kind of president I would have been and what I would have done differently and what I think it would have meant to our country and the world. So of course I think about it. I think about it all the time."
"The only reason I felt confident I had to push on this question is because Bill Clinton didn't rule out... he said, 'I can't rule it out.' So you are ruling it out?" host Emma Barnett asked.
"I, as I say, never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you I am under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it. But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely in my plans," Clinton said.
