SNL Spoofs Warren's Medicare For All Plan: Numbers This Big Are Just Pretend, "Money Doesn't Exist"

|

NBC's "Saturday Night Live" joked about the high cost of Sen. Elizabeth Warren's "Medicare For All" plan in its cold-open sketch this week, with star Kate McKinnon playing the 2020 presidential candidate answering questions at a town hall meeting.

"Now we're talking trillions," she said when asked about the estimated $20-50 trillion dollar ten-year cost of the plan. "When the numbers are this big, they’re just pretend. There ain’t no Scrooge McDuck vault somewhere."

"You want to get red-pilled? Money doesn’t exist,” McKinnon said, displaying a comically complex chart. "Here. Here’s the math. Do you understand this? I do. I could explain it to you, but you would die."
