President Trump at Thursday night's rally blasted a man he thought was a heckler for having a "serious weight problem" and suggested he should "go home and exercise." It turns out the man was actually a Trump supporter who had been seated next to a group of hecklers.
Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins caught up with the man after the rally in a quick interview that aired Friday morning on "Fox & Friends."
"He didn't see me rip the signs away from those three people that were sitting near us and trying to cause a ruckus," the man, Navy veteran Frank Dawson, told Fox News. "I think he thought I was part of it, but I wasn’t, I was the good part of it."
"I don't even care what they were yelling about, it wasn't gonna happen beside me because I'm trying to listen to my president," he also said.
"He said hey, I need to lose a little weight! Everything’s good, I love the guy, he’s the best thing that ever happened to this country," Dawson added.
