Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross: China Tariffs Delayed To Protect Christmas Shopping Season


Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross told CNBC's "Squawk Box" Tuesday morning that President Trump’s decision to delay upcoming tariffs on certain items wasn’t a “quid pro quo” trade concession with China but was intended to help consumers during the upcoming Christmas shopping season.

"Nobody wants to take any chance of disrupting the Christmas season," Ross said.
