Tucker Carlson delivers a monologue on Democrats using the phrase "no one is above the law" when talking about President Trump and the Mueller investigation. However, Carlson said, Democrats, are dependent on making sure illegal immigrants are "above the law."
When it’s about tax returns, or executive orders, or of course, Russia!!!, the left strikes a law and order pose. Nobody, they’ll remind you, finger wagging in your face, is above the law in this country. Nobody. Not even, drum roll please, the president of the United States:
REP AL GREEN: He disrespects the law and believe he's above the law. No person is above the law.
BUTTIGIEG: No one ought to be above the law.
ELIZABETH WARREN: No one is above the law not even a president of the United States.
SETH MOULTON: We live in a country where nobody is above the law.
MAXINE WATERS: No one is above the law.
BIDEN: An American president who has no respect for the rule of law.
PELOSI: no one is above the law.
AOC: He doesn’t follow the law and his job is to follow the law!
BERNIE: Nobody, especially this president, is above the law.
It’s one of their favorite talking points. It’s also one of the most effective, because it’s absolutely true. In America, nobody is above the law. That’s the promise of this country. It’s why this isn’t the third world. If only Democrats actually believed their own bumper stickers, we’d be far better off. But they don’t. Nobody is above the law? Please. Spare us. Their party’s entire electoral future depends on making certain that millions and millions of people are above the law. In fact, our laws are unambiguous: No one can move to this country without our permission. People who come here illegally must be sent home. That’s the law. The modern Democratic Party is built around ignoring and subverting it. Just this month, President Trump called for ICE to deport illegal aliens facing final deportation orders. These are people who, at our expense, have received their day in court. They lost. They’ve been ordered to leave. They’ve ignored the order. If you cared about the rule of law, you’d send them home immediately. But the left doesn’t care. They denounced any attempt to enforce the law as bigotry.
Hillary Clinton herself shared a guide to help foreign nationals evade federal law enforcement. Insanity. But this is normal now. It is now mainstream within the Democratic Party to compare border facilities to Nazi concentration camps, and demand the abolition of border enforcement entirely. Virtually every Democratic city in America has declared itself a sanctuary for illegals. In California, even private businesses are banned from giving assistance to ICE. Meanwhile, the Obama administration created the entire DACA program, specifically to protect millions of illegal immigrants from ever having the law enforced against them. Maybe you support DACA. Many of Americans do. OK. But don’t lecture us about how nobody is above the law. Dreamers are above the law, by definition. That’s the whole point of the program. And that’s just the beginning. There doesn’t seem to be a single candidate for the Democratic who believes in enforcing immigration law. Many argue we should reward law-breaking with taxpayer funded benefits. Watch:
BOOKER: On day one I will make sure that no one we end the ice policies and the customs and border policies are violating the human rights.
CHRIS HAYES: If you could would you kick the wall down now? Here? Like you have a wall. Would you knock it down?
OROURKE: Yes Absolutely.
ELIZABETH WARREN: Offer a home to refugees. That is who we are. That’s our values. That’s part of what we do.
JULIAN CASTRO: So instead of building a wall or closing the border…(edit) we should choose compassion instead of cruelty.
KAMALA HARRIS: We welcome refugees and bring people out of the shadows.
GILLIBRAND: Immigration is not a security issue. It is an economic and a humanitarian and a family issue.
BIDEN: I think undocumented people need to have a means by which they can be covered when they’re sick this is just common decency.
Come here, break our laws, take our benefits, denounce us as racists if you want. We’ll still give you free health care. That’s their message. It hasn’t gone unnoticed in the world’s poorest countries. Since May 30, more than eleven hundred African migrants, from nineteen different countries, have been caught crossing the border. These aren’t people fleeing starvation. They had to buy a trans-Atlantic plane ticket to get to this continent. They’re coming because they know they’ll be paid more in America. There are billions more like them around the world. Check our global population numbers some time. The Democratic Party has decided that all of them deserve to come here, and stay, permanently, at our expense. The law doesn’t apply to them. This is totally nuts and scary. Even some on the left think so. The Center for American Progress is the preeminent liberal think tank in Washington. In a new report, CAP warns that the Party’s immigration positions could cost Democrats the next election.
The report says the party’s positions are so extreme, that they’re forcing Americans to choose between being a nation of immigrants, or a nation of laws. Most people are for laws. In a newly-released Marist poll, only twenty-seven percent of American adults support decriminalizing illegal border crossings. Sixty-six percent are opposed, and by the way, there’s no almost no racial gap there. A large majority of black, Hispanic, and Asian voters also think it should remain a crime to cross our border illegally. Of course. The poll also found that just thirty-three percent of Americans support giving illegal immigrants free health care. Sixty-two percent are opposed. Once again, a big majority is opposed, of all colors. This isn’t a racial question, despite what they tell you on Twitter. It’s just a lunatic idea, and most people know that. Americans don’t hate immigrants. They’re not bitter racists, no matter what Pete Buddha Judge claims. This is a kind and decent country. But it is, and has always been, a nation of laws. Once we give that up, it’s over.
