Cory Booker Left Speechless By McConnell "Descendants of Slaveholders" Remark

Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker was at a loss for words during a CNN interview Monday night when asked to respond to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying he opposed slavery reparations for the same reason former President Obama did, noting that "we both are the descendants of slaveholders."

"Mitch McConnell doesn't seem to have in any way there expressed an understanding of these issues, or, you know, the bill that I have in the Senate which would call people together to study this issue," Booker said, shaking his head.

"Dear God, this is -- this has been a couple of years of my life for Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump where things come out of their mouths where sometimes I have to just sometimes, you know, have to take a step back for a second and gather myself," Booker said.
