President Trump spoke to reporters from the White House Rose Garden after a meeting with Congressional Democratic leaders Wednesday morning. Trump blasted Speaker Nancy Pelosi for accusing him of a "cover-up" in a statement to reporters before the meeting.
"I just saw that Nancy Pelosi -- right before our meeting -- made a statement that 'we believe the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.' Well, it turns out I'm the most transparent president probably in the history of this country," Trump said. "We have given, on a witch hunt, on a hoax, this whole thing with Russia was a hoax, as it relates to the Trump administration and myself. It was a total horrible thing that happened to our country, it hurt us in so many ways."
"Things are going well, and I said let's have the meeting on infrastructure, we'll get that done easily, that's one of the easy ones. But instead of walking in happily into a meeting, I walk in to look at people that had just said I was doing a cover-up," he continued. "I don't do cover-ups. You people know that probably better than anybody."
