White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley responds to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) calling Attorney General William Barr a "biased defender of the administration."
"It's absolutely ridiculous to say anything other than this was a clean bill of health for the president. We had 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witnesses, 500 warrants, 40 FBI agents, 19 attorneys and a partridge in a pear tree to find out exactly what we already knew, that there was no collusion with Russia," Gidley said Monday.
"There was no obstruction. The president did nothing wrong. It was a complete and total exoneration. And the problem with people like Jerry Nadler and others is that if they admit the truth that the president did nothing wrong it will also admit that the last two years of their life was a complete and total waste of time. They pushed a lie on the American people with zero proof and zero evidence. And they need to be called to account for that action," Gidley said.
