William Barr: It Is "Vitally Important" For Robert Mueller To Complete Russia Probe Without Interference

Attorney General nominee William Barr told senators at his confirmation hearing Tuesday that "it is vitally important" that special counsel Robert Mueller be able to complete his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Barr also said it was "very important" that Congress and the public be informed of Mueller's findings.

"If confirmed, I will not permit partisan politics, personal interests, or any other improper consideration to interfere with this or any other investigation," he said in his prepared remarks.
