NBC NEWS: Savannah Guthrie sat down for an exclusive interview Wednesday afternoon with Nancy Pelosi at the Capitol to discuss the news of the day, including the ongoing government shutdown.
"Are you willing to come up and give him some of this money for the wall?" Guthrie asked the incoming House leader.
"No, no. Nothing for the wall," Pelosi answered. "We're talking about border security."
"We can go through the back and forth. No. How many more times can we say no? Nothing for the wall," Pelosi said.
Earlier on Wednesday, President Trump said he is prepared to leave the government shut down for "as long as it takes."
Pelosi also ridiculed the idea of Mexico paying for the wall.
"That is so ridiculous: A. Mexico's not paying for it...and B. We have better use of funds to protect our border," she said.
