Brian Williams: Obama Attacking Trump "Was Not An Easy Decision For Him"

MSNBC host Brian Williams said it was "not an easy decision" for former President Barack Obama to break protocol and publicly attack his successor. Williams said former President George W. Bush decided to do the "usual classy president thing" and refrain from attacking the current president.

"We should say something here, and that is, when 44 (Obama) got elected, 43 (Bush) did the usual classy president thing and said, 'I'm going to keep my silence and hang back and enjoy retirement,' I'm quite certain that 44, in criticizing 45 (Trump), it was not an easy decision for him," Williams lamented on the Friday edition of his MSNBC program.
