Behar: U.S. Treatment Of Migrant Children "Is Like Germany"

|

Joy Behar said the Trump administration is "viciously attacking" migrants who are seeking asylum in the United States by separating the adults and the children. Behar said on the Thursday edition of ABC's The View that "this is like Germany," likening the treatment to WWII Nazi concentration camps.

"As Americans, people should not tolerate this," Behar said.

"People should not tolerate this. This is like, this is like Germany. I mean, come on people," Behar said to applause.

"Germany, back [then], not now," she said. "They have a better record than we do!"

Co-host Meghan McCain vs. The View panel: We are not a nation without borders

"I know when I'm coming on here saying this I know how unpopular it is," McCain said. "I'm not a snowflake, I know what I'm saying. I know that no one in this room probably agrees with me. I know nobody at this table agrees with me."

"I'm from a border state and if we are a nation without borders and laws we are not a nation," she said.

McCain said she doesn't agree with the separation policy but that she is trying to explain how we got to this point with immigration.
