Ronan Farrow: Hillary Clinton's Staff Seemed "Nervous," Tried To Cancel Interview Because Of My Weinstein Reporting

Ronan Farrow, the journalist who broke the Harvey Weinstein story is out with a new book about diplomacy, for which he interviewed every living former secretary of state, including Hillary Clinton. Clinton is a known friend of Weinstein, who raised immense amounts of money for her Democrats over the years.

In a 'Good Morning America' interview with former Clinton WH press secretary George Stephanopoulos, Farrow implied that Clinton's people knew about her potential connections to Weinstein and tried to avoid her talking to him about it.

"Hillary Clinton had scheduled an interview while I was at the height of the Weinstein reporting," Farrow said. "And her folks got in touch and said, 'we hear you’re working on a big story.' [The staffer] sounded very concerned, and tried to cancel the interview."

"Over the Weinstein stuff?" Stephanopoulos asked.

"Over the Weinstein stuff," Farrow repeated.

"Oh I'm surprised about that," Stephanopoulos mused.

"It was surprising," Farrow agreed.

Farrow eventually did interview Clinton for his book, War on Peace: The End of Diplomacy and the Decline of American Influence
