Coulter On "Obscenity-Laced" Oval Office Shouting Match With Trump: "Total Betrayal" On The Wall

|

Ann Coulter talked to radio host Howie Carr on Monday about President Trump's "total betrayal" on the wall and an "obscenity-laced" screaming match she had with the president in the Oval Office. For the record, Coulter said Trump "swore first."

Coulter said Trump's presidency "isn't over yet" and he can still come back. However, she told Trump supporters to stop cheering him on when he betrays the base and called them "cro-magnons" if they believe Trump is playing a game of 3D chess.

"He's failing right now," Coulter said. "The presidency isn't over yet, he can still come back and do it. But people who voted for him shouldn't be cheering for him everytime he betrays them and this is a total betrayal for him to sign that bill. It's a total betrayal for him not to build the wall. And to pretend like it isn't -- yeah he can come back."

Coulter even said if Trump does come back and goes all in on the wall then she would personally lobby to "put him on Mount Rushmore."

Coulter also talked about a very heated conversation she had with President Trump in the Oval Office that devolved into an obscenity-filled argument over his lack of action on NAFTA, deportations, and other agenda items.

"It came out about 6 weeks after it happened," she said of the event.

"And he swore first!" Coulter wanted to make clear.

"Are these reports true or are they fake news that you got in an obscenity-laced screaming match with him?" Carr asked.

"I said you're not doing what you promised to do," she said of the meeting.

"Where's the end of NAFTA? Where's the wall? Where are the deportations? What are you doing talking about the DREAMers?" are some of the questions Coulter said she asked.

"It was a thoughtful exchange of information," she said of the argument. "It was only around minute 20 that it got a little more rancorous than the two people that had brought me in. By the time I left they were backs against the wall as if they had no idea who brought this woman in."

HOWIE CARR: A texter wants to know if you still believe that Trump is 'E Pluribus Awesome?'

ANN COULTER: Not if he's not building the wall and it sure doesn't look like he's building it now. It looks like he's just seeing how long he can take his voters for a ride. Maybe he'll come around. And I think it isn't helping having these cro-magnons saying, 'Oh no, it's 3D chess' and just applaud everything he does. We've got to put some pressure on him.

CARR: Cro-magnons? Did you call us deplorables cro-magnons?

COULTER: Um, no, I'm calling the people going around claiming everytime he destroys his presidency, 'No, it's really some complicated plot that will somehow inure to it.' No, it isn't. He's failing right now.

The presidency isn't over yet, he can still come back and do it. But people who voted for him shouldn't be cheering for him everytime he betrays them and this is a total betrayal for him to sign that bill. It's a total betrayal for him not to build the wall. And to pretend like it isn't -- yeah he can come back.

And as I told The New York Times, if he does I'll start a committee to put him on Mount Rushmore, if he builds that wall. But, right now, if you want to make a bet I don't think we're getting the wall.

CARR: Are these reports true or are they fake news that you got in an obscenity-laced screaming match with him?

COULTER: Oh, that came out a couple months ago. And I leaked to no one, no one, no one. It came out about 6 weeks after it happened. And he swore first!

CARR: So where was the meeting?

COULTER: In the Oval Office.

I told absolutely no one anything.

I said you're not doing what you promised to do.

Where's the end of NAFTA? Where's the wall? Where are the deportations? What are you doing talking about the DREAMers?

CARR: To which he responded?

COULTER: [Does Trump impersanation] I appointed Gorsuch.

And I said that doesn't count. Jeb, exclamation point, would have done that. Rubio would have done that. How is your presidency different than from Rubio would have done?

CARR: When did he start swearing? What was the swear that he did? Please edit it.

COULTER: He does listen. He's been following my tweets. When I walked in he said, 'Oh, the great betrayer.'

And that's how I got going. I said, 'Speaking of betrayal.'

CARR: To which he responded.

COULTER: No, it was a thoughtful exchange of information. It was only around minute 20 that it got a little more rancorous than the two people that had brought me in. By the time I left they were backs against the wall as if they had no idea who brought this woman in.
