Sam Nunberg: "I'm Going to Be The First In History To Refuse To Spend 80 Hours Going Over My Emails"

In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg said he refuses to comply with a grand jury subpoena in the Russia investigation because he believes investigators are trying to get him to impugn controversial Trump ally Roger Stone, who Nunberg called his mentor. "If it were me, I would," anchor Jake Tapper said. "If you are just asking my opinion. Just because it sounds like a pain but he is the special counsel and he does have the long arm of the law... Sometimes life and special prosecutors are not fair, I guess. I would cooperate were it me. I’m a different breed of cat."

SAM NUNBERG: I am not a fan of Donald Trump. He treated me like crap. Okay? He treated Roger like crap. I should not have been fired, Roger should not have been treated the way he did. Trump decided that he loves Corey [Lewandowski, the second manager of the Trump campaign] more than us. Okay.

But the idea that I was colluding with the Russians? That Roger was colluding with the Russians to help Trump? All we were doing was trying to get Corey fired...

Donald Trump caused it, because he's an idiot because he decided to give an interview to Lester Holt the day after he fired James Comey, and then he decided to have the Russians in the Oval Office. You're going to have to explain that one to me...

I'm going to be the first one in history to flat out say, I am not going to the grand jury, I'm not going to spend 30 hours going over my emails. I'm not doing it...

I think Mueller has enough on Trump that he does not need me and Roger Stone and Steve Bannon.
