CNN: Former Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) questions whether teens who survived the Parkland, Florida school shooting can plan a nationwide anti-gun rally, saying Democratic groups are behind the efforts. Kingston faced off against one-term former Rep. David Jolly, who lost to current Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL). Jolly, a mainstay on CNN and MSNBC, gave Kingston and finger-pointing rebuke.
Kingston, a CNN political commentator, said the sorrow of the Florida school shooting survivors "can very easily be hijacked by left-wing groups who have an agenda."
Kingston argued professional organized groups, like those run by George Soros, are ready to take up the helm and plan national protests.
"Well, let's ask ourselves, do we really think -- and I say this sincerely. Do we really think 17-year- olds on their own are going to plan a nationwide rally?" Kingston asked on Tuesday morning's edition of New Day on CNN.
"I would say to you very plainly that organized groups that are out there, like George Soros', are always ready to take up the charge and it's kind of like instant rally, instant protest," Kingston added.
