Newt Gingrich, commenting on Michael Wolff's controversial new book, said the elites have passionately been avoiding the Trump reality for nearly three years in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Thursday.
"The same people who have been passionately avoiding reality for three years are now entering a new year passionately avoiding reality," Gingrich said. "There is a whole series of these things. I'm working on a book right now called 'Trump's America.' There is a whole chapter of how wrong they are. Whether it's somebody saying he couldn't possibly be elected, a number of people who said the stock market is going to crash the minute he is sworn in."
"I have a standard rule. If I look at the Sunday morning shows and all of the wonderful elite wonderful Washington figures have agreed that the sky is going to be blue, my assumption immediately is it's not because they are wrong so often," he said.
