Paul Ryan: I Sleep In My Office For Convenience, "Not Seeing Staff In The Evening"

At his weekly press conference, House Speaker Paul Ryan was asked about his habit of sleeping in his office, and whether he thinks that is appropriate given the current year.

"We sleep in our offices because we work until about midnight, and we get up early in the morning," he said. "It is a convenience factor."

"It is not that we're seeing our staff in the evening when we are sleeping in our offices," Ryan explained. "This is simply a convenient factor, and I don't see how it is connected to anything else."
