Rep. Devin Nunes, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, joins Laura Ingraham to discuss what investigators know about who paid for the Steele dossier and his committee's investigation into the 2016 election:
REP. DEVIN NUNES: There are a lot of moving parts, so let's start with: We still have information we need from Fusion GPS. We still have a whole host of information from the Dept. of Justice and FBI... We're really just at the beginning of unraveling questions we've been asking since March...
If people really believe that the FBI did not know who paid for that dossier, I've got a bridge to sell you. There is no possible way that they did not know who paid for that dossier.
LAURA INGRAHAM: So who is lying at the FBI?
NUNES: We don't know. Is it just Comey or is it the whole FBI?
INGRAHAM: What you’re saying about the FBI there, that’s quite a charge.
NUNES: Absolutely. This is the government out of control.
INGRAHAM: We hear about this 'Deep State.' People burrowed in the government working against the peoples' interest. We need to know.
NUNES: It’s not OK for us to ask since March, who paid for the dossier? What was it used for? It comes out only because of subpoenas to the bank – it’s the bank that was going to have to produce the subpoenas that – then they cut a deal...
We have a whole host of questions about Fusion GPS -- we want to know, were they being paid by Russians, were they paying Russians?
We're investigating this. We need the information.
