Dem Rep. Frederica Wilson On Slain Soldier Controversy: "I'm A "Rock Star"

The Congresswoman who accused President Trump of being "insensitive" when he made a condolence call to the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, an American service member killed in action in West Africa, is now calling herself a "rock star."

The kerfuffle began two days ago when Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) shared with the media that Trump reportedly told the widow her husband knew what he was getting into when he signed up.

On Thursday, White House Chief of Staff Ret. Gen John Kelly defended President Trump. Kelly said Rep. Wilson's use of the phone call "absolutely stuns me."

On Friday, local Florida media got ahold of the Congresswoman at the airport where she stylized herself as a "rock star."

"You mean to tell me that I have become so important that the White House is following me and my words This is amazing. That's amazing. That is absolutely phenomenal. I'll have to tell my kids that I'm a rock star now," a laughing Wilson said to local news organizations.
