One of the speakers at Saturday's controversial "free speech rally" in the historic Boston Commons park, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, is a candidate for the Republican Senate nomination to run against Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018.
Tens of thousands showed up to protest against the "free speech rally" with the assumption that it would be similar to the racist rally which took place last week in Charlottesville.
"To all FAKE NEWS, this was the "White Supremacist" FREE SPEECH RALLY I just spoke at," Ayyadurai wrote on Twitter: "This was the "hate" filled "Nazi" speech which the Establishment did NOT want you to hear or see. THEY want Race War to divide us."
While he spoke, supporters held signs stating: "Black Lives DO Matter"
SHIVA AYYADURAI: I want everyone to say with me: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
You are my brothers and sisters. We are one people, and we cannot let the power of darkness or Power, Priviledge, and Control -- destroy the Light.
I want to you to see the light and unite now with other Americans or all races and background in order to take on the Establishment.
Be the light. Know the truth. God bless you.
Immense gratitude to @bostonpolice for their incredible work in ensuring safety of all Free Speech Activists entering and exiting.Thank you!— Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai (@va_shiva) August 20, 2017
Ayyadurai also retweeted these supporters:
I was observing the protesters outside. They ended up cheering @va_shiva. Awesome job! The attack on White Supremacists really touched them.— Swamp Watch (@swampwatchma) August 19, 2017
