Paul Begala: We Should Be Considering "Blowing Up The KGB" Over Alleged Election Interference

Lifelong Clinton campaign aide Paul Begala exploded on a CNN panel Wednesday night, accusing the president's son of committing treason by aiding an alleged Russian "attack" on America, and suggesting that it would be appropriate for the U.S. to bomb Russia in retaliation for their alleged phishing entry into John Podesta's Gmail account in Spring 2016.

PAUL BEGALA: No patriotic American should subvert an election, with a hostile foreign power. That is what Donald Trump Jr. agreed to do, with Mr. Kushner and Mr. Manafort in the meeting.

We were and are under attack by a hostile foreign power, and they seem to be abetting that hostile foreign power.

We should be debating how many sanctions we should place on Russia, or whether we should blow up the KGB or GRU [Russia's foreign military intelligence agency.] We should be retaliating massively. By the way, if I were a Trump supporter, I would want to retaliate massively because it has tainted his victory.

The Washington Free Beacon reports on Begala's comments during the 2012 election cycle, when he and many other Democrats mercillesly mocked Mitt Romney for saying that Russia is the "#1 geopolitical foe" of the U.S. in a debate with President Obama. Obama landed the following zinger on Mitt Romney for that during the 2012 election: "The, uh, 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back."
