Following President Trump's joint news conference with King Abdullah II of Jordan that focused on Syria, MSNBC's Brian Williams remarked the president is now "a man being forced to pay attention for the first time" to foreign policy.
"Isn't it also true that we need to filter the president's words through this frame. A man who is being forced to pay attention for the first time to the video of atrocities coming out of Syria. There has been no shortage of them. We have a videotape library full of them. This is the first time he has been forced to concentrate on this aspect of what has been and remains an absolutely staggering, awesome job that he now holds," Williams said Wednesday.
