In an interview on Fox News that aired Tuesday, the president said that one of the next "big things" in his path was going to be pharmaceutical prices. He plans to negotiate with the drug companies to get a Better Deal in the same way he did with Lockheed Martin.
"My new thing’s going to be the pharma, because we pay too much," Trump told Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, referring to the price of prescription drugs. "We’re the largest drug purchaser in the world, and they [Medicaid and Medicare] don’t negotiate."
"Lockheed Martin's a great company, but they weren’t bringing their price down," he added, referring to that company agreeing to lower the price of certain fighter jets. "I got involved. I saved more than $600 million. I was very proud of that."
He also said: "You can do that at every level of government."
