Brit Hume discusses the new presidential poll conducted by FOX News on Wednesday's edition of On the Record:

BRIT HUME, FOX NEWS: A new FOX News poll out tonight shows the presidential race tightening and the Clinton lead in the national polling average holds stud meanwhile.

As of now Mrs. Clinton leads in the RealClearPolitics average by 5.6 points in a 4-way race and 5.4 points in a 2-way.

The betting odds meanwhile show Mrs. Clinton favored by nearly 5 to 1 (82.3% to Donald Trump's 17%) although it's down a little bit.

In our new poll, just out, Mrs. Clinton's lead has shrunk to 3 points in a four-way race (from 45% to Trump's 39%, now 44% to 41%) and 5 points in a two-way (from 49% to Trump's 42%, now 49% to 44%). Both numbers are noticeably down as you can see from our poll last week.

A four-way race includes Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein with national frontrunners Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
