Comedian Amy Schumer was on the receiving end of boos at a performance in Tampa Bay over the weekend after she attacked the Republican nominee for president Donald Trump. The incident started when Schumer brought a Trump supporter on stage and made fun of him. At first Schumer genuinely wanted to know why he supported Trump, however afterward took a shot at the candidate and those who support him.
The video, captured by an attendee, showed a steady amount of people leaving the show as her commentary on politics and guns went on. This part of the show lasted at least 15 minutes, the total length of the fan video.
Schumer called Trump an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster" which was not well received by the entire crowd. While she did receive cheers for making her support for Clinton vocal, a mass exodus of ticket-holders followed her repeated lambasting of the Republican.
"I know you're here to laugh but you know you choose your life. You choose what you want to do with your life. It's just too important so I going to spend like one more minute talking about it. You can go to the bathroom, or you can leave, whatever you want, but for five minutes I'm going to talk about stuff. It's up to you," Schumer said to a raucous crowd.
At one point Schumer instructed anyone booing to be removed.
"Just so you know from now on if you yell out, you're going to get thrown out. Just so you know, if you yell out I'll say, 'throw them out' and we'll throw them out," Schumer said to a crowd that was booing.
"So everybody point to the people booing," Schumer said as the audible booing continued. "Just point."
"Okay, so go," Schumer said to the lost crowd.
Schumer then proceeded to recount a story of performing at a Hillary Clinton birthday party.
