"In part because he is is consolodating his base, Republicans are rallying behind Trump. In part because he is expanding his lead among independents in those states. If you look at data, he has also recovered some ground along the college educated white vote in some states. You combine all three of those factors and that's why his numbers are up."
Trump has an "upwards of 35-40% percent" chance of winning the election," Bevan says.
