In an interview on ABC's 'Good Morning America,' Trump Organization vice president and eldest daughter of the GOP nominee for president, Ivanka Trump, criticized Hillary Clinton for never pushing a childcare policy, like the one she outlined in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal Tuesday. Her father Donald Trump will detail the plan in a speech Thursday night.
"I think we took a giant leap forward with the plan and, you know, respectfully, Hillary Clinton has been around for decades and there's no policy benefiting either mothers or fathers in terms of paid leave," Ivanka Trump said. "So I think the fact that we are advocating for this and advocating for it so strongly and taking leadership on this is testament in itself to our thoughts on this subject, but certainly she had opportunity to have a concept like that."
"We have not been in public office for the last several decades and she has," she said when asked about plans on Clinton's website. "So she could have instituted some of those policies in that role and has not done so."
