Speaking to the American Legion convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, Donald Trump struck a patriotic tone, saying that when he becomes president "we will stop apologizing for America, and we will start celebrating America."
At the same forum yesterday, his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton said that Trump believes 'American Exceptionalism' is insulting to other countries.
"We will be united by our common culture, values and principles," Trump said. "Becoming one American nation: One country under one constitution, saluting one American flag -- and always saluting it."
"The flag all of you helped to protect and preserve," Trump said to the American legion.
