Bill Kristol: When The Debates Begin, Trump Will Have A "More Defensible, Less Wacky" Position On Immigration

MSNBC: 'Brand new poll numbers show Donald Trump narrowing the gap with Hillary Clinton. Editor of the Weekly Standard and part of the “Never Trump” movement, Bill Kristol, breaks down these poll numbers.'

"A more substantive campaign by Clinton might be well advised," he said about the Democrat's effort to defeat Trump.

Regarding Trump's "flip-flops" on immigration, Kristol said: "At the end of the day, he will give a speech tomorrow that, if it is at all competant, will have moved him to a more reasonable position on immigration than he was in, and we can be dance critics about the clumsy way he got there, let's give him less points. But at the end of the day, going into the debate on Sept. 26, he will have a more defensible and less wacky position [on immigration] to defend against Hillary Clinton."
