Colorado GOP delegate Kendall Unrah, the leader of the national Never-Trump movement, spoke to the media about the chaotic moment that occured just before a voice vote at the Republican National Convention Monday afternoon.
"They squashed the votes of the people," she said about the dispute. "So once again, the system is rigged to make sure that Donald Trump gets this nomination."
"Quite honestly, with the history of the Republican Party and how they treat the grassroots, it is considerably suspect."
"This isn't over and we will have to hold the Republican Party responsible for the way we have been treated," she said.
QUESTION: Can you explain to our audience what just happened?
KENDALL UNRAH: Well they squashed the votes of the people. You all just saw the delegates wanted a roll call vote, which is a fair part of the process. Take the roll call vote!
And so we submitted a petition. We have a right to see which petitions were not filled. Who withdrew. And that is part of the process under the house rules. We have a right to know, and he should have addressed who withdrew.
So once again, the system is rigged to make sure that Donald Trump gets this nomination.
Donald Trump needs to earn our support, he needs to earn our votes, because he can not coerce the people in a general election.

QUESTION: Explain what happened with the nine states, and then three states disqualified. What is that all about?
UNRAH: We circulated a petition -- the rules require that we get a majority of delegates in seven states [in order to force a vote]. So we actually got ten, to make sure we had enough names submitted. So what they are saying is they had three states withdraw, and they're saying they didn't have enough signatures from the states in order to qualify. So we need to know... have them prove that. Because quite honestly, with the history of the Republican Party and how they treat the grassroots, it is considerably suspect.
And they were whipping pretty hard. [RNC Chair] Reince [Priebus] was out there himself, pulling the delegates out and taking their names off the list.
This is America, and the people should have the sanctity of their vote not threatened, intimidated and coerced out of them.
