Hosting a panel of Trump voters in a segment titled 'Inside The Thinking of Trump Supporters,' CNN's Drew Griffin singled out the two black people and told them "there are going to be a lot of people" thinking "how can you possibly vote for and support Donald Trump?"
"There are going to be a lot of people looking at you two in particular tonight, wondering how can you possibly vote for and support Donald Trump, this man that we heard will do nothing for the people of color in this country?" an incredulous Griffin asked
The black gentleman, Leo, answered, "He's kind of got a hip-hop swagger to him, and I think people like that. He's all about money and entrepreneurship, there are a lot of people before he was a candidate who were black Americans and famous and they loved him. And I think there are a lot of people in the closet who also love him. Job competition, job scarcity, issues like that, he is actually addressing those issues. That's going to help black Americans, that's going to help all Americans. That's important to people who've feel like they've been left on the margins for too long."
Impressed by his answer, CNN's Griffin said he "sounded so presidential."
"Leo, that statement that you just said, that whole spiel, sounded so presidential... Donald Trump makes it sound like this, 'Black people love me, Hispanics love me, it is going to be great. We're going to win, win, win,'" Griffin told the man.
