House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi weighs in on Donald Trump's candidacy and tells CNN's Dana Bash that the American people will demand that the presidential race "get serious."
"Trump said earlier this year that he has always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi," asked Bash. "Do you want to deny that?"
"Haha, did he say that?" she asked. "I also read or saw something saying that he has contributed to me, which is not even true... I know I met him once in his office. We went there to talk about things, and he was a gentleman."
"I think that I'm going to be able to get along with Pelosi." Trump said on Morning Joe in January. "I think I'm going to be able to -- I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi. I've never had a problem."
"We have gridlock in Washington," Trump said last year. "For instance I’ve helped Nancy Pelosi. I've helped Reid. I’m a businessman." Trump also said. "I'm a conservative Republican. I’m a very conservative person, actually. But I get along with everybody."
