Bernie Sanders' wife Jane says that the "superdelegates" primary system is "basically an insurance policy for the Establishment so the primary doesn't go awry."
JANE SANDERS: It doesn't seem fair that superdelegates could play such an outsized role. We learned in a democracy it is one person, one vote. Evidently not in the primary system. We don't like the concept of superdelegates.
It is pretty much an insurance policy for the establishment, so they can make sure the primary doesn't go awry.
