Hillary Clinton said race relations have deteriorated in the past few years when she addressed Al Sharpton's National Action Network in New York City on Wednesday. Clinton said progress has been made with the election of Barack Obama, however the struggle against racism is "far from finished."
"As you know so well, the last few years also have laid bare to deep fault lines in America. They've revealed how frayed our bonds of trust and respect have become. Despite our best efforts and our highest hopes, America's long struggle with racism is far from finished," Clinton declared.
