Chris Matthews on Debate: Trump Was "Under Constant Attack" From "Jackals" Rubio And Cruz

MSNBC host Chris Matthews reflects on Thursday's GOP presidential debate on Fox News Channel.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC: What a tragic event. Good evening... The day started with Donald Trump getting blasted by Republican hawks. The neocons, the Wall Street people went after him too. The party's 2012 nominee Mitt Romney also went after him.

At tonight's debate the front-runner came under other constant attack from the remaining contenders in the race. The dynamic was clear from the outset. It was Donald Trump versus everyone else.

People have now called them jackals -- Ted Cruz one of the jackals, Marco Rubio the other one -- because that's all they were tonight.
